ResonaBee wasn’t created as a concept; she emerged from experience. One late spring day, I found myself on my back deck, immersed in sound while playing my singing bowls in the tranquil afternoon. No audience. No agenda. Just sound connection. As I played, a bee appeared. She hovered close, closer than you’d expect, and instead of moving on, she stayed, suspended in the air above the bowl. In that moment, something shifted. There was no fear. No separation. Just awareness. We weren’t merely observing one another… we were in resonance. It felt as if we were communicating in a language beyond words, a shared frequency, a felt understanding. For a brief moment, there was no 'me' and no 'bee.' There was just the experience of being… attuned. That moment stayed with me. Later, at the studio, a group of calm honeybees gathered just outside our suite, at the threshold of a space shared by multiple healers. They weren’t aggressive or chaotic; they were simply present, searching, aligning. We began calling ourselves 'the hive.' Along the way, something remarkable happened. I was labeled a 'bumbler,' an insult in that moment. Yet, I saw something different: someone willing to explore, to feel, and to navigate life not perfectly…but authentically. So, I reclaimed it. The bumblebee became a symbol of that energy, curious, present, in tune with something deeper. The ResonaBee story unfolded from all of this. She embodies the moment when sound healing therapy transforms into connection, when frequency becomes understanding, where alignment isn’t something we force, but rather something we return to. ResonaBee serves as a reminder that we are always in relationship with the world around us. When we slow down enough to listen, we may realize we’ve been speaking the same language all along.
